INSPECTION VISITS
Normally a 3 or 4 night duration is sufficient to see properties and the area in the countries concerned, however, you may prefer to add a few days holidays whilst there, on longer haul destinations like Margarita this would be not only desireable but sensible.
MORTGAGES
If required we will happily help you to arrange a mortgage in the country of your choice.However, local mortgages are not available on Margarita as they are unable to access "credit information" for E.U. citizens. We can also give refinancing advice on your present home. THERE IS NO COST TO YOU FOR THESE SERVICES FROM US!
WHICH WAY TO BUY ?
We would advise you to have your finance in place before actively looking for property - this will put you in a serious position to purchase the house of your dreams, should you see it.
NEW HOMES
If you decide to purchase a new home, as many people do then payment for these is normally done over the readiness period. As an example you see a show house in an area that you feel is ideal for you. After seeing a choice of plots you decide upon your home. Initially a £2,000 (3,000€)deposit would be paid to secure this for you. 6 weeks later 25% of the value falls due. Approximately 6 weeks later another 25% will be paid. Then at completion the final 50% is paid. Also it is necessary to budget an extra amount for taxes and costs in Spain for example this can be up to 10% but for Margarita only 2%.
